Before sunrise, a remarkable sight occurred as an orographic "cap cloud" hovering over a snow-covered mountain
transitioned into a vivid red hue. These unique clouds are formed by the cooling and condensation of moist
air forced up and over the mountain peak and slopes, shaped by horizontal upper-level winds into distinctive
dome-like formations. The sudden change in color, and the juxtaposition of the brilliant red hue against
the snowy mountain peak, was truly a breathtaking spectacle to behold.
